I loved [Youths For SDGs] because it was a great opportunity to get to know people outside your school and work together!! The activities are fun and sdg themed so if you’re passionate about social, climate or political issues, this is an amazing experience! it’s a super cool thing to be apart of- you get to learn a lot from others and from the workshops <3

CREATIVE TEAM

[Youths For SDGs] was what kickstarted my on-going streak of charity work.

I was in the creative team for the event and within the span of a few months, I learned how to plan campaigns, how to use [adobe illustrator], what is good graphic design, how to organize team meetings and most importantly: how to handle responsibility and take initiative.

You could say it changed my life. I've never worked on something so big before in my life. When the actual day of the conference came around - it was a feeling of insurmountable pride, exhilaration and a twinge of sadness because I didn’t want it to end.

I knew I would miss the work, the sense of purpose and most of all: the YFSDG community. Even though we started as strangers, we’ve managed to create an almost family-like community. I’ve never met such an extraordinary group of people and probably wouldn’t have if not for [Youths For SDGs]

Thank you [Youths For SDGs]. I’ll never see the words “sustainable” and “sdgs” in the same way again.

My [Youths For SDGs] 2020 experience was fantastic. The topics brought up in the podcast sessions and during the competition were very thought-provoking. From the panelists, to the participants and to the coordinating team, everyone was very approachable and insightful. My teammates and I walked away from this event having gained valuable insights on how sustainability can be implemented into different industries and made friends with many innovative like-minded people.

For students looking for an event to network and gain new perspectives on sustainability, this is an event to not miss out on.”

[Youths For SDGs] is what inspired me to choose my career path [towards working at the UN]. Working with like minded people about issues that plague several peoples lives, is something which [Youths For SDGs] is perfect for. Coming together with everyone at this event made me grow as a person, as a student, and most importantly, as a global citizen. The hard work that goes into this event changes tons of highschool students’ lives. Thank you to all my friends in the core team, and the youth leaders team. ❤️

I made connections with the most amazing people and was able to step out of my comfort zone to take part in numerous activities. I think there’s something extremely special about being in a room full of students who are equally as eager to protect the planet and learn more about the SGDs as you are. I stand by my belief that every student should attend the event at least once before graduating high school!”
